[ultimate_heading main_heading=”PROFESSOR ANTHONY THOMPSON – 8TH DAN BLACK BELT” alignment=”left” main_heading_style=”font-weight:bold;”]Professor Thompson has been studying Don Jitsu Ryu for over 40 years under Purple Dragon.

He has traveled extensively to Canada, India, Africa, China, Japan, Europe, the USA, the Caribbean, and many parts of the world, teaching the Don Jitsu Ryu.

In his early years, he competed at many major All Styles Championships. In 1994, he was the World NBL self-defense champion in the traditional division. He was also one of the first Trinidadians to be inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame in Akron, Ohio, USA.

Professor Thompson currently operates the Purple Dragon Arima branch in Trinidad. He conducts Self-Defense, Weaponry, Aikido, Karobics, and Yoga courses.

He conducts classes at Belmont Community Centre on Mondays & Wednesdays and St. Michael Parish in Diego Martin on Tuesdays & Thursdays.

He has been producing many Champions and has traveled to Australia, Canada, England, the USA, China, Japan, Europe, and the Caribbean, teaching, competing, and assisting.

[ultimate_heading main_heading=”SHIHAN NICOLE THOMAS & SHIHAN EDWIN REID – 7TH DAN BLACK BELTS” alignment=”left” main_heading_style=”font-weight:bold;”]Shihan Nicole & Shihan Reid jointly operate the Purple Dragon Valencia Dojo.

Shihan Nicole is the highest-ranking female in Purple Dragon and has since worked to become one of the most recognized international females in the organization.

Shihan Nicole was a team member of the T&T team, where she performed at the US Open World Self-Defense Championship 2005, and her performance was featured on ESPN sports.

 

Shihan Reid has been training with Purple Dragon for over 30+ years and teaches Aikido and Don Jitsu Ryu at the Purple Dragon Valencia branch.

He was a Team Member on the T&T team that won the Canadian Grand Slam in 2007.

Both Shihan Nicole and Shihan Reid also toured with the Purple Dragon team to China, Japan, Europe, and Africa.

Shihan Nicole and Shihan Reid usually travel ahead of Professor Jacob and the Examination Board to prepare overseas students for their grading and seminars.

He has studied the art of Don Jitsu Ryu for over 40 years and currently teaches at the St. Ann’s Branch, located in Maraval. He traveled extensively with the Grandmaster Professor Jacob on many tours in the USA, Canada, and Japan assisting and teaching the art of Don Jitsu Ryu.

Shihan Nathalie is a former top female competitor in the country. She won the Forms Championships in the 1999 World NBL, which was held in Canada.

Shihan Nathalie was a runner-up at the US Open World Championship 2005. Shihan Nathalie is a proud mother of three and still finds time to travel overseas with the Purple Dragon Team.

Both Shihan Arnold and Shihan Nathalie have traveled with the Purple Dragon team to China, Japan, Europe, and the Caribbean.

He started training in Purple Dragon when he was only 13 years old and has risen to become one of the top Shihans in the organization. Like other Purple Dragon Shihans, he has produced many champions during his teaching career. Shihan Timothy traveled to China and Japan with the Purple Dragon team.
